A customer just sent me this adorable picture wearing her new cluster ring from my Nature in the City lamp worked jewelry series. She looks so cute!
Thanks Susi :)

One of a Kind

Just uploaded to the shop. This scarf isn't shredded but it's tie dyed with love! The color combination feels nice for fall. It came about by accident, one of my favorite things about tie dying. Added to my "One of a Kinds" section, this piece is limited in quanity.

Today I uploaded a new banner to the shop.
I'm not sure yet if it's final but I needed a change. What do you think?

Isn't Anni gorgeous? I was thrilled to see these photos earlier today on her blog Style Hurricane. I love how she's wearing the Shredded T-Shirt No. 5 in black, tucked in and paired with other dark elements.

New!
The new Shredded T-Shirt No. 21 is really different from my other pieces - completely shredded and paired with a sash (you can pick your colors!), this can be styled in so many ways. Amazingly comfortable too.

color preview!

Photobucket

Yesterday I had a quick photo shoot with Zenzile. I remembered seeing her on campus last year and thinking she had beautiful dreadlocks. I got in touch and here she is! Rocking the Shredded Scarf No. 4 in a new color I am adding to the shop... sea foam, sage? I'm unsure what to call it just yet... though it's the most gorgeous green and I'm really excited to wear it myself.

ArlieFindsVintage

Photobucket

Soooo I've decided to start a vintage shop. Actually I "decided" to start one many a year ago but never felt the shove until recently. I'll be uploading many things I love dearly and have had for years. Although I would love to keep some of it, it's time to get serious about downsizing around here. I hear thrifting is insanely great on the West coast, so no worries - I'll just find new treasures when I move :)

The clothing above + many more fun pieces will be uploaded to ArlieFindsVintage tonight and tomorrow.
Many more updates to come!

My most recent Etsy treasury... every once in a while I notice a good trend within my favorites.
I enjoy the juxtaposition of these.

lost and found

Photobucket
In the craziness of packing and moving during July and August, I seemed to have misplaced half of my dyed pieces for shredding the Pretty Pastels Collection.
They re-surfaced the other day and honestly, I had forgotten all about them.
I've now moved all the items to the SALE section to make room for new pieces.
I swear - no more pastels after this batch... moving onto fall next week!

the desaturated 70's...

The Documerica Project collection on flickr is amazing. I haven't gone through it all yet but I love love love these images from the 70's. Use of film, color quality and idea of composition from the decade has always interested me.

All the images in this archive were shot between 1971-1977. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hired freelance photographers to capture images relating to environmental problems, EPA activities, and everyday life in the 1970's.

I could re-post 100 of these pictures but I'll stop before I get too ahead of myself :)
Go check out the rest here.
